Chanukah is a very special time for Jewish people all over the world. When you want to celebrate this special time of year you will want to have things around you that will make it more special. There is no better way to do that than to do it with Chanukah crafts. These are fun and easy to make for the whole family.
One Chanukah craft that you can do for your celebration of this special holiday is the Star of David. You will need to have colored Popsicle sticks or painted Popsicle sticks. You want to lay them on top of each other so that they make a triangle shape. You want to have two identical triangles. Glue them together and let them dry. Then you will lay the two triangles one on top of the other so that you have a star shape. Then glue them together and let them dry. Once that is done you can decorate the star however you want to. These make beautiful Chanukah decorations.
A second craft that you can do is the paper lanterns. You will need to have construction paper that you cut one inch off the short end of the paper. This will be used for your handle. Then fold the paper in half lengthwise. From the long edge of the paper you want to draw a one inch line from the end. This will tell you when to stop cutting. You want to measure and mark all the lines so that they are one inch apart and start at the folded edge, then move towards the line where you stop cutting. Cut all of the marked lines to the stopping line. Unfold your paper and then re-crease the paper in the opposite direction. Match the long edges together and then tape them so they stay that way. Staple your handle onto the lantern and then decorate it however you want to. These two crafts will definitely help you celebrate Chanukah in a fun way.
